Age of Empires - Colour Compatibility issue with Windows 7

Age of Empires 2, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings, Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors - Colour Compatibility issue with Windows 7




We can't play Age of Empires II on Windows7, because the whole picture go green, I dont know how y this happen but someone told me that it's caused by the poor color-management in aero in Windows 7, but killing explorer.exe before playing the game will fix the problem.
The best two way to do this is ..

Kill explorer.exe run time
1 ) Start the game and ALT+TAB out of it.
2 ) Open Task Manager.
3 ) Select "Prosesses" tab
4 ) Right click on "explorer.exe"
5 ) Select end Progress
6 ) Open game again
After finishing the game you can restart explorer.exe, open Task Manager click File Menu > New Task(run), type "explorer.exe" and press enter.
Make .BAT File
1 ) Open notepad and copy/paste the part from the following text.
If you have Age of Empires II:
------------------------------------------
taskkill /F /IM Explorer.exe
EMPIRES2.EXE
Start explorer.exe
------------------------------------------
If you have Age of Empires II with expansion:
------------------------------------------
taskkill /F /IM Explorer.exe
age2_x1.exe
Start explorer.exe
------------------------------------------
2 ) Save as Windows7 fix.bat and put it in the same folder where you installed Age of Empires.
3 ) right click on Bat file select "send to > desktop" (Make a shortcut to the bat)
4 ) if necessary change the icon so it looks like the actual shortcut
5 ) Click shortcut to play the game.
