BlackBerry Keypad Shortcuts

Here is some Keypad Shortcuts that can help you to Know your Blackberry better and help you to make your BlackBerry use more fast and easy.

To set "Alt" key in BlackBerry 9105, Press Volume Key "up-down-up-down-up"


Basics Shortcuts
Press "Space" to Select or clear a checkbox
Press "Alt" to View available values in a dropdown box
Press and hold "0" to Enter "+" in phone number
Press and Hold the "Escape" key to move Home Screen from any Applications
Press and Hold the "Menu" key to switch Applications runtime
Press and Hold the "Volume Down" to send an incoming call to voice mail
Press and Hold "Shift" key and Press Alt key to On-Off Num Lock
Change Battery Graph to Numerical Value
You can change the coverage indicator to show 'signal strength' in digital/dBm format.
On Home Screen ...
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "N" + "M" + "L" + "L"
(Lower value is a better quality signal. -60 db is excellent while --100 would be poor.)
Do the same if you want to remove this effect.
See Event Logs
You can see all event logs/Java event log from your BlackBerry.
On Home Screen ...
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "L" + "G" + "L" + "G"
(where you can clear some logs to free some memory on your own risk.)
To see Help Me! Screen

Help Me!" screen will show device details like software version, pin, IMEI, uptime, signal strength, battery level, file count and etc.

Press and hold "Alt" key and press "H"
SIM Card Details
On SIM Card Menu/Page ....
In OS5 - Options->Advanced->SIM card and OS6 - Option>Devise>Advance System Setting
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "D" to Display MEP info
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "1" to Disable SIM personalization
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "2" to Disable Network personalization
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "3" to Disable Network subset personalization
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "4" to Disable Service provider personalization
Press "M" + "E" + "P" + "5" to Disable Corporate personalization
WLAN Wizard mode
On WLAN wizard screen ...
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "S" + "M" + "O" + "N" + "W" + "L" + "A" + "N" to Enable simulated Wizard mode
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "S" + "M" + "O" + "F" + "W" + "L" + "A" + "N" to Disable simulated Wizard mode
Address Book Preference
On Address Book ...
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "V" + "A" + "L" + "D" to Validate the data structure and look for inconsistencies
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "R" + "B" + "L" + "D" to Force a data structure rebuild
Email Keys
In Open E-mail ...
Press "!" to reply to an email
Press "." to forward email
Press "," to compose email message from a message list
Theme Change
On Theme Menu ...
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "T" + "H" + "M" + "N" to Change to no theme/B&W mode
Press and hold "Alt" key and press "T" + "H" + "M" + "D" to Change to default theme
Status Information
On Status Page/Menu ... (Option > Status)
Press "B" + "U" + "Y" + "R" to get Data & Voice Usage info
Press "T" + "E" + "S" + "T" to start a device test (Keyboard, GPS, RF, Audio (Handset,headset,bluetooth, Misc)
Message Shortcuts
On Message list ...
Press "1" to move top of a message list
Press "2" to move up a message
Press "4" to move to the previous date
Press "6" to move to the next date
Press "7" to move to the bottom of a message list
Press "8" to move down a message
Camera Shortcuts
On Running Cam ...
You can use Volume Up/Down key to Zoom In/Out
Press "Right Convenience" key or "Trackpad" to Click image
Press "Space" key to change Flash Setting
BlackBerry Maps
On Open BlackBerry Maps ...
Press "L" or "O" to Zoom In/Out it to Map
Press "6" to move next direction route
Press "4" to move previous direction route
Press "Q" to View/Hide status information at the top side
Press "Space" To Hide/Show tracking information at the bottom side
Picture Viewer
On Open Image ...
Press "3" or "9" to Zoom In/Out it to Picture
Press "7" to zoom to the Original Size
On Zoomed in Picture ...
Press "2" or "8" to Pan Up/Down
Press "6" or "4" to Pan Right/Left
Press "5" to return to the Center
Press "," to Rotate a picture
